Samsung Galaxy Nexus
The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is hitting the headlines for being the first Android 4.0 powered smart phone. Although there is no official release date at the time of writing we should see the Nexus towards the end of 2011.

Hardware
The Galaxy Nexus features a 4.65-inch 720×1,280-pixel HD Super AMOLED PenTile curved glass display, a dual-core 1.2 GHz TI OMAP 4460 processor (ARM Cortex-A9) with an accompanying PowerVR SGX540, 1 GB of RAM, a 1,750 mAh battery, 1.3 MP front camera and 5 MP rear camera capable of 1080p video. Connectivity includes 4G, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, Barometer, and NFC. The Nexus is available with 16 or 32 GB storage options.
Unlike previous Android devices, the phone has no physical buttons on the front but instead features on-screen soft keys embedded into the system software (part of Ice Cream Sandwich). The 3.5 mm headphone jack is located at the base of the phone, and the camera is located in the centre of the back.
Software
The Galaxy Nexus will be the first Android 4.0 (code named Ice Cream Sandwich!) powered smart phone. This new version demonstrates the maturing Google platform with a whole range of new features, for example:
- Face Unlock
- Redesigned Gallery app with photo editor
- Unified calendar, visual voicemai
- Stylus input, button support, hover events
