Buying a Netbook
What is the Definition of a Netbook
Many people struggle to define the term netbook. I don't like to be too prescriptive about these definitions and like to think that this term can be used to describe any low cost, light and ultra portable mini laptop. I don't think size particularly matters as long as it is easy to transport.
Is a netbook for me?
Netbooks are aimed at people who need ultra portable PCs. If you are looking for a light weight machine to access the internet on the move, around the house, in the garden or need something you can take to University then you may well love a netbook!
What can't a netbook do?
Next generation netbooks are fully functional computers. Some heavy weight professional applications may not run well and remember that they necessarily have small screens, but otherwise netbooks are not toys, they can run most things that the average user will need.
Are Netbooks a passing fad?
Not at all, light weight portable PCs are here to stay, whether the name sticks or not is another question but if you like the look of owning a PC that you can easily take anywhere then you'll love owning one of these. The first models hit the scene back in 2007 and new netbooks are hitting the shops every month.
What netbooks do Samsung make?
It all started with the NC10 way back in 2008, since then the number of different netbooks has expanded each year with a variety of shapes and sizes entering the market each year.
