The first wave of Atom based netbooks are able to stream to video over the Internet. However you may find that results are mixed. This page aims to help you get the best out of your netbook.

Note that the next generation of netbooks will probably have superior video and CPU processing abilities and this page will hopefully be redundant for future generations.

Overview

The Atom processor in most current netbooks is a capable chip but there is little redundancy available when you start to push it. This means that it can struggle with some playback scenarios. However with the right setup you should be able to watch good quality streaming video over the Internet.
