Default problem with NC10 rapid sideways picture movement while on internet

    Hi,

My friend gifted my daughter a used, but in excellent condition, NC10. It starts up perfectly and everything is ok. I have got it linked wirelessly and Internet Explorer opens up without a problem. Whenever a search is made on Google etc the results are shown as normal, however when the cursor is placed near or on the chosen selection the screen moves rapidly to the right or left and only stops when the cursor is moved away. The problem happens more often than not and makes it very difficult to use.

I have scanned it with AVG 2011 as it was on already. The battery capacity is showing 00%, but works ok with or without the adaptor being plugged in. I don't want to pay a large repair bill for something that may not work properly

I hope that I have explained the fault well enough for others to understand. Any help or thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

    Michael

    Hi,

just thought I would update this myself as the problem has been resolved. I gave the NC10 to a work colleague who tinkerd with the Display properties / Advanced Settings / Troubleshoot and turned the Hardware Acceleration down a click. Problem solved. You might be able to tell that I am a not a computer expert. All it cost was a few bottles of wine.

Sounds like a good deal to me, that's the kind of payment I like
