    Default Samsung NP-R719

    Hiya

I have the Samsung NP-R719 notebook which won't boot. I get the error code 0xc00000e9 info: An unexpected I/O error has occurred. I've tried EVERYTHING to sort it but nothing seems to work. F4 recovery mode doesn't work either. The notebook was fine when I shut it down Saturday night and no usb items were attached. If anyone has any idea what I can do I'd appreciate it.

    Thanks

    Karyn

Hi Karyn, sorry to hear about your problem. If you have tried the usual recovery options then it could well be a hardware issue - is the notebook still in warranty? If it is I would get on the phone to the official Samsung support line. They helped me repair mine when the screen broke and I have to say it was very easy.

They picked up and returned my PC within a few days and it was all working again. I was able to clear down my hard drives though - something you might not be able to do.

The official repair centre is: http://www.digicare.co.uk/

They also repair out of warranty models for a fee. Please let us know how you get on or if you find an alternative solution.
