Dear Samsung,
Today, July 11th 2010, I purchased a Samsung Netbook N130 from Maplins Electtronics in Warrington, England. When I opened the box, the netbook was padded with thick gray foam on the ends and concealed in a white bag. I removed the netbook from the white bag and to my dismay the case had wet oily streaks on the top. Upon opening the display, I immediately saw that the display had a thick cloudy film over its whole surface. The keyboard was covered in small yellowish fibers. The whole interior surface of the keyboard had been wiped over with some type of cloth or sponge that left residual streaks across the surface and the display. There was no protective film covering the display nor the web cam lens.
Can you please tell me if this Netbook is in fact brand new? It just does not seem possible to buy electronics that are in such a dirty condition and lacking the protective films that your Samsung phones are covered in as we own two of those as well. For reasons to lengthy to discuss in this email, I felt I could not immediately return to the Maplins where we purchased this item. I have no issue with Samsung I simply wish to know if this computer is New or was it Refurbished as we bought it as a new unit. The serial number on the unit is S/N: ZKOY93HSAO****. Any help you can supply is greatly appreciated, If this is not the right point of contact for this question can you please direct me to the right email contact? If there is any other information I can supply please ask and I will do so.
Thanks so much for your attention to this email,
