Hello everyone,

Just letting you guys know Samsung is hosting a photo contest at: http://snapitto.me/contest/view/id/6

You need to either shoot pictures with a Samsung camera (which most people do not have) or shoot pictures with Samsung products in it. The contest description says:
"Samsung Moments of Wonder"
The photo should be a high resolution photo and either taken with a Samsung Product (i.e. camera or phone) or include a Samsung product in the photo. The photo should capture or illustrate a "moment of wonder". Something like a great sunset captured by a Samsung phone, a wonderful FIFA World Cup party enabled by a Samsung TV, capturing your kid's first footsteps on a Samsung camcorder, or kids sitting still listening to Samsung MP3 players.

So far there are no entries yet because this seems extremely niche. I don't have a Samsung camera either, I only have a monitor and I highly doubt a pic of my monitor will out compete against someone with a Samsung camera that can take meaningful pictures.

It doesn't seem like this competition will be too competitive do to the niche nature of the competition. So for those lucky folks with a Samsung camera or a good cellphone camera, I'd definitely give it a shot...

Um, doesn't look very official to me! But interesting anyway.

Those looking for official things along this line should head over to the Samsung imaging site (http://www.samsungimaging.com/). There is also a group on flickr for sharing Sammy produced photos that might be of interest.

The imaging site has "challenges" and comps and stuff so worth a look.

Of course come back and share any pics with us here too :)!

Hey,

So it seems like the one hosted at SnapItTo.Me is by an ad agency that represents Samsung. So I guess technically it is not Samsung corporate that's hosting the competition, but by the end of the day it is Samsung paying the reward. The submissions so far are fairly mediocre. I think the Samsung criteria really limits the amount of entries this particular contest can generate.

The less people that enter the more chance of winning!

Might be getting a new digital camera myself soon, most likely a Samsung, but not definitely. Then I'll be able to take some Sammy snaps too.

Thanks for posting the comp :)
